Preschool Screening
CCSD 46 is offering in-person monthly screenings as part of Child Find. Child Find is an ongoing process through which all children, from birth through 21 (i.e., through the day before the student’s 22nd birthday), or who may be eligible for early intervention, or who may be in need of special education services are identified, located, and evaluated.
Families must complete and return the required documents before a screening appointment will be offered. CCSD 46 accepts screening requests for children ages 3-5 years who meet the following criteria:
- Child MUST live within CCSD 46 boundaries.
- Child MUST be three years old at the time of screening.
- Five-year-olds must have turned five AFTER September 1.

We are now scheduling screening appointments in January.
Please be advised we are currently on a wait list for our state funded Preschool For All program. We will still be conducting monthly screenings as part of Child Find.
If you would like your child to attend one of our preschool programs for the 2026-2027 school year, it is recommended that you call for a screening by February 2026 to ensure your child completes the screening process by May 22, 2026. No screenings are held during the summer months.
